Annual career awareness and local job opportunity event hosting over 100 area businesses and 600+ students from 12 area schools.
The mission of ACE is to raise career awareness and the job opportunities for area students so they are knowledgeable of the opportunities awaiting them in our rural communities when they finish their education.

Area Career Exploration: Prior to arriving, area sophmores will have completed a career interest survey which narrows their interests to a short list of careers they may wish to pursue. From there, students are given the opportunity to meet with area businesses from a wide selection of industry sectors to discuss these and other career options. They will have the opportunity to learn what high school and college classes offer the greatest benefit to their chosen career field as well as what the job market looks like for their career. The event is divided into two alternating sessions, allowing students to peruse business booths during one and enjoy a career game show in the Performing Arts Center during the other. Young professionals from the area pose career-focused questions to students from each school who compete to win a trophy for their school. Each student should also leave the ACE day with pamphlets and information from the businesses they chose to visit during the day.


Job Fair: Before the ACE event we allow the Fairmont Juniors and Seniors to come thru and visit the businesses!  
With the continued shortages in the workforce it is a great opportunity for them to revisit businesses.  
Businesses are encouraged to offer students a summer, internship or permanent job during the Job fair portion of the day.
